This recipe comes from the kitchen of Giada! My wonderful husband got me her newest cookbook for my birthday and I thought that this was a smoothie worth sharing! The secret ingredient? Ginger! I’ll admit…I wasn’t quite sure about it at first, but it grew on me and now I love it. Just beware…the ginger gives it quite a kick!

Blend together:

2 cups frozen pineapple

1 orange

1 inch of peeled ginger

3 tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 cup cold water

1/2 cup of ice
