If you are looking to for a unique vacation with a European flair trip, Vail is a must see! With a great, car-free downtown, you get all the shops, restaurants, and views without being on a busy street. You really feel like you are in a European village.
PSA: When going to Vail, either be prepared to walk in shops without being able to buy a thing or be prepared to spend a very pretty penny on anything you might buy! We’re talking stores like Loro Piana…beautiful but not what my bank account can handle quite yet 😉
In Vail, on the opposite end of the downtown area, there is a lift that will take you up to the top of Vail Mountain. DO IT. It is one of the best views of the mountains and worth the money. We got lucky and our host from Air BnB had extra free passes, but it is worth it if you can. It makes for great pictures and is a great place to just enjoy the view.
If you are looking for a romantic date night, we loved Sweet Basil! It is upscale yet super cozy and right in the downtown area. If you are looking for a cozy pre-or-post dinner drink, visit the bar downstairs at Lancelot, right next door to Sweet Basil.
P.s. The colors in Vail were SO beautiful.
